Jackson Is Our Town Too

Jackson, the county seat of Jackson County is our town too. Though county resident have no direct say in who runs the town, we have a right to support candidates for mayor and the city council who abide by conservative ideals and are guardians of taxpayer dollars.

We can walk the streets handling out literature and knock on doors talking to voters. The last election in November 2017 was a disaster. The miscreant that was elected is a far left liberal Neo-fascist who would go to any length to further his political career.

Derek Dobies, teamed up with City Manager Patrick Burtch and Consumers Energy's first woman C.E.O to push passage of a non discrimination ordinance (NDO) to protect gays and Transgenders from discrimination in housing and employment. Never mind there were no documented cases of such discrimination, passage served Derek Dobies agenda which is to further himself in the political arena.

All manner of devious behavior was used to get the NDO passed. Dobies resorted to typical leftist tactics attempting to discredit his political opponents

His key to winning was a formidable ground game which consisted of an army of queers recruited as a result of a suspicious fire at the home of a local gay leader. The publicity and support garnered as a result of this well publicized staged hate crime drew support from all over the state and far flung gay strongholds elsewhere.

Dobies was instrumental in releasing misrepresentations of private emails to gay activists and gay publications which resulted in hate filled accusations from the hate filled gay community. Another tactic of the peace loving gay community and vile leftists like Dobies.

Dobies is a big supporter of the Burtch agenda of rebuilding Jackson into a "world class city". Burtch see this vision as his path to recognition and monetary rewards. Dobies sees his cooperation and support as a mechanism to gather loyal supporters and donors for his future political ambitions.

Dobies is the epitome of an aspiring member of a political class which sees itself and anointed rulers and deciders for the "working man" who is too ill informed to lead his life as he or she sees fit.

Dobies is an avid supporter of using tax payer dollars to subsidize well heeled developers into building projects which could not pas the litmus test if they had to stand on their own without government intervention.

While the streets in Jackson are a decaying, pot holed mess, funds that should be used for infrastructure maintenance are diverted to the grand vision of the downtown core filled with millennials living in subsidized apartments and creating another Ann Arbor like urban center. Fail.

So what do we do, the residents of the county? In June of 2018, Dobies will enter a window in which he can be recalled. I it incumbent upon the county residents who are concerned about the future of our county seat, to get involved and remove this cancer. Dobies has already infected some city boards with political operatives and cronies he brought with him to Jackson.

There is a Carter Commission assembled to make revisions to the city charter. There is no doubt in my mind that appointments made by Dobies to this commission have as one of their objectives, to change the initiative and referendum process to try to make it impossible for no city residents to circulate petitions within the city.

We already won a victory against the city in US Federal court over such an exclusionary provision. Make no mistake, Dobies swill have leftist union lawyers drafting up provision which he thinks can pass a constitutional challenge. This is what the Neo-fascist liberal subversives do.

We must be vigilant and protect our rights by whatever means necessary. The first line of attack is to recall this un-American interloper starting in June 2018. We succeeded in gather enough names on recall petitions in the 6th ward to challenge him. He dropped from the ballot and mounted a campaign for mayor with his army of queers inflamed by his lies and false accusations which were spread by fellow travelers of the "gay community".

Unfortunately, this lying, devious, self seving gnat won and sits in the mayors seat threatening to enact ordinances to make Jackson a Sanctuary City, extort more dollars from taxpayers to rebuild streets after he voted to neglect the streets and support Burtch's vision of a reborn downtown and offer more incentives to developers in hope of future support for his political campaigns.
